We have one paid position available for an undergraduate USF student as a research assistant starting Fall semester 2012.
We are looking for a student with a strong interest in ecology; you must also have taken (or currently be taking) PCB 3043 or equivalent. Previous research experience is a strong plus. Personal reliability and initiative are essential. This position provides a strong introduction to ecological research.
The assistant will participate in and lead field crews in the USF Ecological Research Area, and will manage the resulting data. She or he will participate in our regular weekly lab meetings, and will assist with a literature review on variation in reproductive output in plants, in consultation with me.
The position is for 10 hrs/week for the full school year, and can extend into summer 2013. Funds are from the National Science Foundation’s program in Research Experiences for Undergraduates.
To apply, send a note expressing your interest, experience, and any other relevant information, to: Dr. Gordon A. Fox, Dept. of Integrative Biology.
